How stories on The Geo-Traveller get researched, written and corrected.

Who's behind this site

The Geo-Traveller is written and edited by Aditya Chaudhari — a travel writer and photographer documenting India and beyond. It is an independent publication: nobody pays us to cover (or not cover) a destination, airline or restaurant.

How stories are made

We use AI tools as part of our writing workflow, and we'd rather say so plainly than bury it. Here is exactly how it works:

• Research & drafting. Story ideas come from primary sources — official announcements, news reports, search trends, and our own travel. Drafts may be prepared with the help of AI writing tools, always grounded in a real, cited source article.
• Human review before publishing. Nothing is published automatically. Every draft sits in an editorial queue where it is reviewed, fact-checked against its sources, and edited by a human before it goes live.
• Sourcing. News stories link to the underlying source. Guides note when information (visa rules, fares, opening hours) was last verified — these things change, so always confirm with the official source before you book or travel.
• Images. Photography is our own or sourced from licensed / freely-licensed providers (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, Wikimedia Commons) with appropriate attribution.

Updates & corrections

Guides are living documents: when the facts change, we update the guide in place and stamp it with an “Updated” date. If we get something wrong, we fix the article and note the correction rather than quietly rewriting history.

Spotted an error? Tell us via the contact page or email [email protected] — corrections are typically reviewed within a few days.

Advertising & affiliations

If a story ever contains sponsored content or affiliate links, it will be clearly disclosed in that story. Editorial decisions — what we cover and what we recommend — are never sold.
